It has been incredibly hectic of late as mom's condition has progressed. She is comfortable and at peace and looking forward to the next stage.
I apologize to all who are reading this news for the first time. I tried to send out initial emails to you all but apparently it didn't go through, and now I finally have a bit of time to write it all down.
In a nut shell, mom had a fever earlier in the week and saw her doctor Wednesday. It was discovered that she was in Bone Marrow failure, probably Acute Leukemia after all these years of treatment (14.5years!) or possibly invasion of the bone marrow by the Ovarian cancer. Either way, its untreatable.
Just 3 weeks ago, after a 2 month drug holiday from Chemotherapy, her blood counts were low normal. Now, her White blood cells and platelets were nearly non-existent. We had redrawn her blood on Thursday in hopes of transfusing some Red Blood cells to make her more comfortable but found that her counts were significantly worse. Obviously this is a very aggressive change. She started Hospice Friday/yesterday.
Currently she is Very tired, but in good spirits. She's at peace and is ready to move on.
She knows the love from all of you for her is boundless. Today, she had enough strength to read through most of her emails. She sends you all her love and thanks for all for everything you've done to make her life as valuable and rewarding as she could have ever hoped for.
Talking wears her out, so emails are good. (She doesn't want any calls or visitors.) Emails she can read them as she's able, although she's so tired now I doubt she'll read anymore.
I expect her to pass very soon.
So again, I'm sorry I couldn't get word out sooner to many of you so you could write to her, but don't worry. She has never doubted your love for her. And she is at peace.
If you still want to write her a note you can send your love and prayers to her directly or to me. I'll definitely try and read a few to her if she's interested/able. Just sending your love through the universe is enough for now.

We are comforted knowing we had over 14 incredible extra years with her and that her (recent) suffering will quickly be over. We have had time to say good bye and get everything in order. She has been incredible in accepting her fate and letting us take care of her here. She Knows she's incredibly loved. Thank you all.
I'll be arranging a party soon to celebrate her life. Probably in the next few weeks.
In lieu of flowers and such you are more than welcome to contribute to the purchase of a redwood grove or bench in Big Basin State Park in her honor. We are working on the details of how to go about this, so more on this later.
Again, mom loves you all. She looks forward to meeting us all again when we finally come to join her beyond the stars.
