US Mens soccer hold on to win 1-0 over Japan in their Olympic opener

The American scoring drought is over, even if everything else isn't solved.

Stuart Holden scored in the 47th minute, giving the United States a 1-0 victory over Japan on Thursday in an Olympic opener. The Americans ended a stretch of three games without a goal.
