Quakes finish debut season on high note

The San Jose Earthquakes ended their debut season on a high note Saturday night, as they defeated Toronto FC, 2-0, at Buck Shaw Stadium. The Quakes received goals from Ryan Cochrane and Shea Salinas

The San Jose Earthquakes finished their return season in Major League Soccer with a flourish Saturday night, defeating Toronto FC 2-0, courtesy of second-half goals by Ryan Cochrane and Shea Salinas. The home side dominated the match for long stretches, only to be repeatedly denied by TFC 'keeper Greg Sutton. But San Jose finally found a way through four minutes into the second half, when Cochrane headed home Ronnie O'Brien's corner kick. Salinas then put the game away with a stoppage-time penalty kick.

Looks like it will be $5 more a month, and contain Universal Hd, MGM HD, and Smithsonian HD.  So get that $5 a month extra ready,

OK maybe for $1 more for five hd Channels or those three Plus the 15 Voom Channels for $5 a mouth more. But $5.00 for all three HD Absolutely No Way.

My Visit to TWiT Cottage in petaluma ca

On recent Family vacation to Safari West , We decided to stop for launch in Downtown Petaluma. Since I was in the neighborhood, I would pop over to the   TWiT Cottage (With little help from Google Maps, and street View) to chance to see Leo. But unfortunately It would one those friday when Leo took day off. Lately Leo was working seven week. At least while I was there able to meet Dane and get tour of the TWiT Offices.

Dow Closes Down Over 600 Points, Below 9,000

The World Markets is still in Free Fall mode and there are still sign of hitting rock bottom anytime yet.

The Dow Jones Industrials fell through the 9,000 level Thursday and continued racing down in the last hour of trading, closing down over 600 points. It was the seventh consecutive session markets closed down.

Trading remained volatile, with the major indexes like the Dow Jones industrial average and the Standard & Poor's 500 index bobbing up and down. The Nasdaq composite index, with a bevy of tech stocks, showed more lasting gains because of advances by companies like Intel Corp. and Microsoft Corp.

But worries about General Motors Corp. capped the periodic advances by the Dow and the S&P as investors grew concerned that weakness in U.S. vehicle sales may emerge elsewhere in the world. GM, one of the 30 stocks that make up the Dow industrials, fell $1.14, or 17 percent, to $5.77. The stock fell earlier by as much as 21.7 percent to $5.41, its lowest level since December 1950.
