SF Giants beat Atlanta, advance to NL Championship Series
The San Francisco Giants advanced to the National League Championship Series after a 3-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field Monday evening.
The Giants, who won the best-of-five series against the Braves 3-1, avoiding a possible deciding game Wednesday in San Francisco, will face the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Saturday.
The Braves struck first in the bottom of the third inning when a one-out sacrifice fly by Braves slugger Brian McCann brought home Omar Infante.
The Giants tied the game with a Cody Ross home run in the sixth inning, but a McCann home run in the bottom half of the inning quickly gave the Braves the lead back.
