I saw this on DSLReports Today. ATT is not the only one Raise their Prices in February
Multichannel News directs our attention to a notice on the DirecTV website that indicates the company plans to raise rates 4% during 2011, in addition to numerous fee hikes. Most TV packages will be seeing the 4% bump starting in February, and there will be also changes made to various "optional" services, the details of which Directs won't be disclosing until February."It's never an easy decision to raise prices," says the company, adding that "Unfortunately, the increasing costs we pay to carry the channels you see sometimes force us to adjust our prices."

a major winter storm is under way and forecasters warn it will be cold and wet into next week.
The storm that blew in Friday is expected to keep dumping rain on coastal cities and snow on the mountains this weekend before heading south early next week. However, it won't dry out in Northern California. National Weather Service Forecaster Bob Benjamin said next week's rains, though weaker than the current storm, will keep the Bay Area soggy through Christmas.
Temperatures will hover between the mid-40s and 50s this weekend, he said, with some areas only seeing a 4- to 5-degree difference between nighttime lows and daytime highs. Snow levels will stay above 7,000 feet in the Lake Tahoe area, though they will drop to as low as 3,500 feet farther north, such as in Shasta County.
